Dissolving Precipitates
Water insoluble hydroxides can be dissolved using a strong acid:
Fe(OH)3(s) +3 H+(aq) ?Fe+3(aq) +3 H2O
Complex formation also works
AgC? + 2NH3(aq) ?Ag(NH3)2+(aq)+ C?-(aq)
